We are working in partnership with a highly reputable organisation based in Inverclyde to recruit an Accounts Assistant, on a full-time Fixed Term contract for 9 months. The successful candidate will undertake accounts payable and accounts receivable duties in a fast paced environment and help out with a busy workload. This is a maternity contract which could be extended or eventually go permanent. This is an interesting and varied role for an Accounts Assistant who is looking for an immediate start.
The main duties:
Accounts Payable duties
Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies
Accounts Receivable duties
Raise customer invoices and credit notes.
Chase outstanding payments and manage debtor ledgers.
Allocate receipts and maintain accurate records.
Month-End Support
Assist with journal entries, accruals, and prepayments
Support in preparing management accounts and financial reports.
General Finance Administration
Maintain filing systems for invoices and financial documents.
Provide ad-hoc administrative and analytical support to the finance team.
The main requirements:
Experience of AP and AR
High levels of attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Proficient in Excel
Able to work on own initiative
Strong work ethic
