P&L recruitment are delighted to be working with our well-established client based in North Ayrshire to recruit an experienced Payroll Assistant to join a busy finance department. The successful candidate will be able to work autonomously on their own initiative to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
The main duties are:
- Processing a weekly payroll from start to finish
- To accurately input and process all relevant data required for Payroll, including, salaries, overtime/shift/call-out payments, bonuses, benefit deductions, voluntary deductions, maternity/paternity allowances, sickness.
- Process and submit statutory year end returns and P60s.
- Process all new starters and leavers
- Maintaining and ensuring all authorised holidays and paid correctly
- Dealing with payroll queries
- Ensure compliance with PAYE, NIC, SSP, SMP, SPP, Pension Schemes and CIS Returns, and experience of handling RTI, Auto-enrolment, and Tax Year End processes
The main requirements:
- Previous payroll experience is essential
- Highly proficient IT skills including Sage and Excel
- First class communication skills
- Strong team player
- Able to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
