Accounts Senior, Finnieston, 28-35K DOE

P&L Recruitment are delighted to be supporting our long standing Glasgow client, to recruit an Accounts Senior on a full-time permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant who is looking to progress into more of a senior role that offers a pathway for promotion in a supportive environment.

Duties & responsibilities:

  • Preparing sole trader, partnership and Limited Company accounts for a variety of clients
  • Preparing management accounts
  • Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
  • Preparing corporation tax computations and CT600 returns
  • Preparing self-assessment tax returns
  • Managing and reviewing junior staff work
  • Managing client relationships
  • Acting as a mentor to the junior staff members

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years experience working in Practice
  • Be able to prepare statutory accounts
  • Good software experience: Sage, Xero, Iris, Quickbooks and FreeAgent
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ambitious and hard working
  • Willingness to progress

My client offers a salary of 28-35K depending on experience, as well as an exciting culture and the opportunity for career progression.
