We are working exclusively with a highly reputable organisation based in Glasgow to recruit a full-time, permanent Finance Assistant. The ideal candidate will have good all-round finance experience and be able to work autonomously in a stand-alone role, reporting to the Finance Director. This is a great opportunity for a candidate who wants to be part of a small successful team and work from home, 3 days per week and be based in the office 2 days per week.
The main duties:
- Maintain sales ledger and purchase ledger on a weekly basis
- Petty cash daily.
- Maintain bank administration
- Process timesheets and associated payroll information monthly
- Process new starters and leavers
- Deal with payroll queries
- Prepare payroll journals for entry into Sage Accounts.
- Provide balance sheet reconciliations on a quarterly basis.
- Reconcile Central Bank accounts on a monthly basis
- Assist with annual audit preparation.
- Ad hoc finance duties
The main requirements:
- Previous finance and payroll experience
- Knowledge of Sage
- Excellent IT skills including Excel
- Highly motivated self-starter
- Excellent communication skills
