We are delighted to be working on an exclusive basis, with an award-winning business based in Glasgow City Centre to recruit a full-time permanent Financial Controller. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to take the next step in their career to lead the financial operations of the business in a "hand-on" dynamic role. The successful candidate will ensure ensure the financial health and growth of the business through active involvement in day-to-day financial tasks, cashflow management and strategic decision-making.
The main duties:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations of the business
- Prepare and present monthly management accounts
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT Returns
- Manage cash flow to ensure the company's financial stability and operational efficiency
- Manage one team member
- Implement process efficiencies
- Budgets, forecasts and financial planning
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Manage relationships with auditors
The main requirements:
- ACCA/CIMA/ICAS Qualified or Qualified by experience
- Previous experience as a Finance Manager
- Highly proficient in Sage
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent leadership skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ambitious and pro active with a high work ethic
